The Naval Families Federation was set up in 2003 at the request of the Government in order to allow the families of the Naval Service to have their voices heard. We are a registered charity in England and Wales (1177107), funded through a grant-in-aid, which allows us to operate independently of the Government and the Chain of Command.
How We Can Support
The NFF aims to ensure that families’ views are heard by policymakers, and it works to improve their quality of life through advocacy, resources, and confidential support. What matters to you, matters to us. Our friendly and knowledgeable team are on hand to give advice, share experiences and support you in getting the answers or assistance you need.

Your Voice Heard
By hearing about the issues and challenges you face, we can learn from them. By asking you questions either directly, or through surveys, we can capture evidence. Sharing your views and opinions allows us to work with policy and decision makers, to inform important changes that benefit you, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines families of today and those of tomorrow. Explore how your voice has helped us to influence these policies and make an impact on the support available, for the better.

About our Team
We have an experienced and varied group of professionals to help you with your questions. Nearly 70% of the Naval Families Federation team are naval spouses… we are probably facing the same issues as you!

Board of Trustees
The trustees have the responsibility of looking after the day to day running and financial affairs of the Naval Families Federation. They ensure all NFF activities are in line with the strategy and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board, supporting the NFF in championing individuals and the Royal Navy service.
