The trustees have responsibility for the governance, compliance and financial affairs of the Naval Families Federation. They ensure all NFF activities are in line with the strategy and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board, supporting the NFF in championing individuals and the Royal Navy service.
Governance
Governance is exercised by a board of trustees, the members of which are selected and appointed by the charity’s existing trustees having given regard to the skills, knowledge and experience: trustees meet four times a year.
Regular Reviews
Risks, finances, and strategic objectives are regularly reviewed by the Board to ensure that the Naval Families Federation continues to make data-led decisions, maintains its independence, champions families in all their diversity, and is evidence-based. The NFF provides a highly valued contribution to the naval and broader charity sector, with unique access to a range of decision-makers.
Keeping In Line
Trustees keep under review and ensure practices adopted by the charity are in line with the Charity’s values. The trustees review all policies with an external HR expert to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
